Nuts & Bolts: Research Based Furniture Practices with BA Harrington and Sophie Glenn

Description

Artists Sophie Glenn and BA Harrington will discuss how they approach research for their projects, the role it plays in their sculptural furniture practices, and their participation in the City of Philadelphia’s Radical Americana programming that coincides with the celebration of the United State’s Semiquincentennial.

Takeaways from this program:

  • Learn how professionals in the field research before creating
  • How you can benefit from good project research
  • Improve the planning process by making productive decisions

Projects that invest time in structured research are generally more likely to stay on schedule, remain within budget, and achieve their objectives.

Attendees of the program will have the opportunity to win two 30-minute mentorships — one with Sophie and one with BA. You must be present to win.
